WALNUT, Calif. -- Brieanna Kennedy, a recent junior at Caravel Academy, won the young women's discus national championship at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Nationals on Friday at Mount San Antonio College with a throw of 149 feet, 3 inches.
Krystina Muhammad of Newark earned All-American status with an eighth-place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 37 feet, 83¼4 inches.
Bobby Kennedy, also of Caravel, finished ninth in intermediate boys shot put with a throw of 47-5.
On Thursday, Gabrielle Kennedy, who will be a freshman this fall at A.I. du Pont High, earned All-American honors with an eighth-place finish in the girls youth javelin. Her throw was 93-6
